~.:Welcome:.~
Welcome to my Graduation Portfolio in regards to my major in Japanese Language and Culture at California State University of Monterey Bay located within the beautiful city of Seaside, California.
~.:Statement of Purpose:.~
My first Major is Animation and my second major is Japanese Language and Culture. I am completing my second major currently at California State University of Monterey Bay and after I graduate, I am going to continue to complete my first major. My first inspiration to my career choice was due to my love of the world of fantasy and creation of fun, exciting, original and memorial stories by the means a pencil and enhancement of animating programs through technology.
My goal with mastering the language and culture of Japanese was because I enjoy the Japanese’s approach to animation and story. I also find this language and the culture very beautiful and poetic. My goal in making my mark in the career field is to work for an animation company or for my own animations. As well, for when I have helped create the characters and story; I could offer my skills in voice-acting or translation in both the English and Japanese language. My skills, at this time, I feel are intermediate. I can write, read and understand verbally and grammatically at a level that is stronger than my speaking level in having conversations with others. I did study abroad for one year in Nagoya, Japan. I do hope to be able to spend more time in such a wondrous country to further my education in the culture and improve my skill in the language.
I love being able to create and provide a place, that all viewers of entertainment, of laughter, suspense, and joy of entering a world that can be both a place to escape reality and motivate others in never giving up on their dreams.
